- A TRIBUTE TO MARTY RICHARDS -

Friends and loved ones including Michael Douglas, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Art Garfunkel, and Victor Garber came together to honor the extremely accomplished life of Oscar and Tony award-winning producer MARTY RICHARDS, Chita Rivera served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening which was held at The Edison Ballroom on Monday, April 8, 2013.

The memorial featured star-studded performances showcasing Richards’ acclaimed Broadway musicals including Chicago, Sweeney Todd, On The Twentieth Century, The Life, Grand Hotel, La Cage Aux Folles, The Will Rogers Follies, Sweet Smell Of Success, and Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life. The evening also featured tributes by Clive Davis, Tom Viola and Michele Herbert.

Proceeds benefited The New York Center for Children which was co-founded by Mr. Richards in memory of his wife Mary Lea.

Join the Junior Committee for The New York Center for Children on Thursday, November 29 to aid the underprivileged and abused children of New York City.
Enjoy the Christmas spirit at the glamorous Gansevoort Hotel. The event will take place on the 3rd Floor of the Gansevoort Hotel, inside the Ballroom and the adjoining heated boxwood terrace. Celebrate the festive holiday season with a wish tree decorated by the children served by the NYCC. Take home a personal ornament by the end of the night for a small donation.

Guests will enjoy wines and prosecco by Global Wines and photography by Billy Farrell. The signature JCNYCC silent auction features a Paris Wine tasting by Mr. Aristotle, a stay at the Benjamin, a spa experience, and other treats and indulgences in NYC.

A special guest appearance will take place at 8pm, to toast the NYCC!
