1. Why did you join the Junior Committee for the NYCC (JC NYCC)?
Having been involved in various charities and organizations my entire
life, I was looking for a specific organization that I could focus my
attention on and get fully immersed in. When I found the Junior
Committee for the NYCC I knew it would be the perfect fit for me!
2. What do you hope to accomplish as part of the JC NYCC?
Raising awareness about the many issues underlying child abuse not
only in New York City but throughout the world is an important goal
that I have. In addition, I would like to urge the younger
generations to get involved in causes that they truly care about
because every little bit of help makes a difference. I hope to get
more younger people involved with the NYCC by educating the public
about our mission.
3. Where are you from & what do you do in life?
I was born and raised in New York City until age fifteen when I moved
to Rye, New York. I am a graduate of Union College and currently
work for a Marketing Agency as a Digital Media Planner.
4. What are some of your favorite activities to do in NYC?
I always enjoy trying new restaurants all around the city. I enjoy
going to see shows and attending charity events. Volunteering is
something that I truly love to do in the city. There are so many
opportunities for people to get involved in every neighborhood for a
number of causes. Recently I took a walk for Suicide Prevention
across the Brooklyn Bridge. If you are in NYC and haven’t walked
across the bridge it is a must!
5. I was infamous for doing X as a kid?
As a kid I was definitely infamous for organizing plays and recitals with my sister and cousins to perform during family functions. I took my director role quite seriously.
